Soldier Field, home of the Chicago Bears, is a working monument in honor of the men and women who died in World War I, equipped with panels of falling leaves that pay homage to fallen soldiers, a Memorial Waterfall which includes medallions honoring the different branches of the armed forces, and a Veteran's Memorial which features a John F. Kennedy inscription.
Navy Pier, Chicago's most visited tourist attraction, was originally named Municipal Pier. It was renamed in 1927 to honor navy veterans of World War I. Additionally, it served as a training center for the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Museums throughout the city are dedicated to, or feature exhibits that honor, the United States Military.
We wanted to incorporate this history into our hats, as our special tribute to those that have helped make our country, and thus, Chicago, what it is today. On the front, we included half of the graphic from the "We Are One Chicago Star" tee. We replaced the bottom stripe with the upside down United States Army Private insignia.
