Katsuji Tanabe and DineAmic's restaurant, Barrio, opened in July in river North. Tanabe made a name for himself on 'Top Chef' and at LA's, Mexikosher. He was raised in Mexico but his father is Japanese and that shows in the menu. They offer a robota menu, creative tacos and even cornbread which is out of this world, melts in your mouth. It's a must! The 6,000 sq. foot space with seating for 200 people really makes you forget it used to be BlackFinn Ameripub. DineAmic hopes to do for Mexican food what it did for Italian food with Siena Tavern. Barrio is located at 65 W. Kinzie and is open till 2am daily!
