There was so much excitement when Alla Vita (The new Italian restaurant from the Boka restaurant group) opened and we must tell you, the hype is real. Not only is the restaurant beautiful, the food is some of the best Italian food we’ve ever had in Chicago and that’s saying a lot because we have some of the best restaurants. Alla Vita features Boka Executive Chef Lee Wolen’s pastas, pizzas, and other Italian hits out of a wood-burning oven. Kehoe Designs has transformed the space into a gorgeous modern garden. A greenery pergola forms an arch above diners, with string lights and rock wall behind the bar emphasizing the outdoor-indoor aesthetic. The light wood floors are hand-painted with flowers and a massive sculpture with waves of fluttering fabric hangs overhead. If you haven’t been yet, go! Alla Vita is located at 564 W. Randolph.
