Benchmark, located at 1510 N. Wells, hit the Old Town scene about 2 months ago and has been packed since the doors have opened.  The retractable roof covering much of the second is very cool and will become handy when the weather turns.  The TV set up is unmatched, it will be the perfect place to catch a game.  The food is decently priced and if you are looking for a great appetizers to have while watching a game, we would suggest the Hot, Soft Pretzels.  We also would strongly recommend the Bloody Mary’s although it seemed like they may need a little more time to get the food and drink menu together.  It is definitely the new spot on the scene and will be for a while so check it out!

Sue Duncan Children’s Center is having a fundraiser with a live auction and a silent auction to raise additional funds for the center.  Having exciting items for live auction helps create buzz at the event and to raise the collective energy level – not to mention all-important funds for the center! Chicago come help a good cause!

Just when you thought that September would make the end of summer music festivals in Chicago, the North Coast Music Festival comes to save your day!  A little different scene than Lolla and Pitchfork, NCMF combines hip hop, trip hop, and jam bands to create an ambiance that supersedes all festivals to hit the streets of Chicago this summer.  Some of the acts that got us interested are Chemical Bros., De La Soul, Pretty Lights, and Chicago’s own Lupe Fiasco.  Before you throw in the towel for Summer ’10 Music Festivals make sure you check out NCMF.

How cool is Chicago? Well other cities have Air and Water shows, but in Chicago it’s the largest spectator event in the United States and the longest ongoing show of its kind in North America.  This is a fun show that’s free for people of all ages. The fun never stops in summertime Chicago and this weekend is no exception. Let’s Go!!!

OG originals… well almost. The 2004 release (you see the old school box) Niketown LA. These have never been worn just for them to be re-released again.  Now why do we keep our shoes? What ever they were and still are fresh. Still might not wear them for another 6yrs. Oh yeah? The shirt the shoes are on? ChiBoys. That’s a navy shirt with gold metalic font. The stars are the Chicago stars and get this… they GLOW IN THE DARK!
